My xbox 360 elite wont read games
Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. There seems to be an issue in the Xbox emulation layer that is stopping it connecting to the Internet successfully, but I don't know how to resolve it.
The fact the One can connect happily tells me that the hardware and network settings are fine, but that access isn't being made available to the Xbox layer. I just don't know how to fix that. I've already factory reset the console once, and that's not resolved it.
Also if your password is longer than 16 characters the password box on the s including the emulators have a character limit of 16 characters so you would need to make your password less than 16 characters.
This is where if you sign into your account somewhere or like try and change your password not only will it require you to enter your password but it will want to send a verification code to an email or text a code to a phone number that you have on the account. Unfortunately, it's not related to sign in or any user controlled setting. Sign in is always successful regardless of 2-step being enabled or password length.
It's the download of the profile that fails after successful sign-in. I created another account with 2-step enabled was able to complete the profile download successfully using an app password so the issue appears to be account specific. Also tested this on three different Xbox systems on three different networks with the same result. I've had to get this issue escalated with Xbox Support after an incredibly long chat with four different support members.
It's definitely a rare issue but seems at least a few of us here have been affected by it. However, the highest level of Xbox support appear to be aware of the issue and seem to be handling things on a case by case basis. Hi, I have a problem and am hoping someone can help.
I've spoken to Xbox Support three times about it now, and each time, we go through the same basic steps: Delete the One profile and re-add it Remove all settings short of a factory reset, re-add the One profile Hold the disc by the edges without touching the top or bottom surfaces.
Using a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth, lightly wipe from the center of the disc outward…. Care for your Xbox console and game discs.
One thing you can try is to unplug your console from the wall power outlet for several hours. Then, hold your finger on the disc eject button for a few seconds. If the console can now read the disc, you can revert to instant-on power mode.

Open the metal casing and unplug the ribbon cables that are connected to the inner motherboard of the DVD player. Then put the metal casing back on. The original inner motherboard from the DVD player is already married to the Xbox It should work as new. If it doesn't work your inner motherboard may be corrupted. This has worked for me. Swapping DVD motherboards is the fastest and easiest way I have experienced.
