Thanks hey just a thought hope this does help but have you ever heard of slysoft I remember once doing a patch job for them but when I was there working I remember there team talking about virtual clone drives basically the same thing you are trying to do but instead of making an entirely new virtual drive it takes your same drive divides it reassembles it to its original format then the second copy as I call reassembles it self to a virtual drive with out a slave hard ware and from my understanding it wouldn't be that hard to change the master code depending on what os it is for so in theory if not all rdy they can make it win 10 capable.
